Since Payote.fr was founded in 2016, the shoe manufacturer has added a modern twist to this popular French footwear. While new designs and fabrics are created and printed in Perpignan, Payote, a proud supporter of local craftsmanship, continues to manufacture all Payote espadrilles locally in the Megam espadrilles workshop located in Mauléon, capital of Soule, in the French Basque Country. The new designs are printed and created in Perpignan. With increased demand for personalised espadrilles, Payote was hunting for a textile printer that could print shorter runs and deliver quality print jobs all while remaining cost efficient. In March, Payote had its first print test with HP Stitch S500 and was impressed by the quality and speed of production. Following several test prints, Payote decided to purchase its first HP Stitch press in June 2020.
“Personalisation is essential for our business, and our customer demand is strong for this type of product. With the integration of HP Stitch S500, we are now able to respond quickly to personalised requests, while maintaining high quality standards”, said Olivier Felly, Founder and Director, Payote.
The HP Stitch S500 offers colour uniformity across the entire machine fleet thanks to the HP Smart Color solution. With a symmetrical 2xCMYK printhead configuration and a lens support advance sensor, this 64” printer ensures a reliable saturated mode in a single pass, optimising the printing speed. HP Stitch S500 also enables users to reduce waste and improve task productivity.
