Born 1963, Dr. Jörg Pohlman has been working most recently as a member of the Executive Board of ARRI AG and was an active board member at the “International Trade Association for Broadcast & Media Technology” (IABM). Prior to that, Dr. Pohlman held various management positions within the BMW Group, most recently as CEO of SGL Automotive Carbon Fiber, a joint venture of the BMW Group and the SGL Group. Pohlman studied law in Germany and the USA. He has been actively linked to Lohmann as member of the Advisory Board since 2000, from 2007 as its chairman.
43-years old chemist Dr. Carsten Ludwig Herzhoff occupied a position as technical manager metal coatings at AkzoNobel before he joined Lohmann. Beforehand, he has been working for EPG (Engineered nanoProducts Germany) as well as TIGER Coatings GmbH & Co. KG. He finished his studies at Saarland and did research for five years at the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart.
Since 1851, Lohmann’s Bonding Engineers provide customized bonding solutions for various industries. Their products cover the entire value chain and thus make for safe, clean and economic bonds – no matter if PSAs (pressure sensitive adhesives) or reactive adhesive tapes. The bonding pioneers’ new entrants are looking forward to continue this “tradition for innovations”:
"I am delighted to actively shape Lohmann’s future with Mr. Schilcher and Dr. Herzhoff”, says Dr. Pohlman. “I am very familiar with the company and my new task is a matter that is very close to my heart.”
Dr. Herzhoff agrees: „Making an impact on a company with such a long history is an exciting challenge for me as well – a history that capitalized innovation. I will be glad to carry on this tradition.”
