The event, held on 9 and 10 June, centred on the theme “Print. Smarter. Together.” and combined presentations, networking and live application demonstrations. The programme opened with Walter Benz, President Flint Group Digital Xeikon, followed by a keynote from Steven Van Belleghem on “The Customer Experience Renaissance” and the role of AI in customer engagement.The event also reflected Flint Group Digital Xeikon’s role within the wider Flint Group Packaging Solutions platform, bringing together digital capability, application expertise and packaging innovation. Throughout the two days, attendees explored how technology, automation and collaboration can help businesses address evolving market requirements while improving productivity and operational efficiency.
A strong partner presence supported the event, with 24 industry partners contributing expertise across the label and packaging production workflow. Their participation highlighted developments in prepress, workflow automation, materials, embellishment, finishing, quality control and brand protection, giving visitors an opportunity to see how connected solutions can support print production from end to end.
Afternoon demonstrations at Xeikon’s Global Innovation Center gave visitors the opportunity to see five digital presses running live. Application areas included self-adhesive labels, smart labels, flexible packaging, folding cartons and technical sessions on workflow integration, TX and IDERA. Attendees were able to engage directly with experts and experience the technologies in real production environments.
Following Innovation Days, a dedicated Ecolyne session on 11 June focused on commercial printers considering labels as a new revenue stream. The session highlighted the Ecolyne proposition of providing access to industrial label production capacity without significant upfront investment. Attendees also participated in a hands-on workshop where they produced their own labels. A customer testimonial from Magnus Lamke, owner of FG Larsson, provided attendees with firsthand insight into the company’s experience with the Ecolyne model and its approach to label production.
The three-day programme demonstrated Flint Group Digital Xeikon’s focus on practical production, partner collaboration and helping printers explore new opportunities in labels and packaging without unnecessary complexity.
