Dataline wins two EDP Awards 2026 at FESPA Barcelona

During the FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 in Barcelona, Dataline won two prestigious EDP Awards for its innovations in the graphic industry. The independent jury of the European Digital Press Association honoured Dataline with two prestigious EDP Awards 2026 for EcoPrint Score (Best MIS solution) and FlowmAIte (Best technical workflow solution).

With this double distinction, Dataline has now won an EDP Award for the eighth consecutive year. The awards once again confirm Dataline’s leading role in MIS/ERP software, workflow automation and innovative technology for print, sign and LFP companies.

“This recognition not only confirms our capacity for innovation,” says Dirk Deroo, CEO of Dataline, “it also clearly shows that print service providers today have a strong need for software that helps them automate more intelligently, produce more sustainably, protect margins and grow scalably.”

EcoPrint Score
Best MIS solution 2026

Making sustainability measurable, visible and commercially valuable
With EcoPrint Score, Dataline introduces an innovative extension to the CO2 Suite that enables print, sign and LFP companies to automatically calculate and display the CO2 impact of every print job.

The solution translates complex emissions data into a simple visual label, comparable to the Nutri-Score used in the food industry. Each print job receives a score from A to E, depending on the ecological impact of the materials, production environment and transport.

As a result, sustainability finally becomes tangible and visible for both producers and customers. Even when specific emissions data is missing, the system remains usable thanks to predefined default values. The result automatically appears on quotations, without any additional manual processing.

“Many print service providers have been investing in more sustainable production for years,” says Dirk Deroo. “However, it has often remained difficult to make those efforts tangible and commercially visible. With EcoPrint Score, sustainability changes from an administrative obligation into a genuine sales argument.”

From compliance to commercial opportunity
The introduction of EcoPrint Score closely aligns with the increasing European regulations concerning sustainability and CO2 reporting, including EUDR and CSRD. While many companies mainly experience these regulations as added complexity, Dataline sees commercial opportunities instead.

“As soon as customers themselves are required to report on their CO2 emissions, they will automatically expect that information from their suppliers as well,” says Dirk Deroo. “If you have to calculate those emissions anyway, you might as well use that data intelligently to create added value.”

EcoPrint Score makes it possible to visibly compare more sustainable alternatives during the quotation process. This enables print companies to actively guide customers towards more environmentally friendly choices, often combined with stronger margins and higher profitability.

FlowmAIte
Best technical workflow solution 2026

From unstructured input to smarter automation
With FlowmAIte, Dataline brings artificial intelligence directly into the daily workflow of print service providers. The AI connector within MultiFlow makes it possible to automatically interpret and process unstructured information within existing business processes.

Where traditional automation usually depends on standardised input and APIs, FlowmAIte focuses specifically on the reality of daily operations: free text in emails, comments, order confirmations and production notes.

“The graphic sector processes enormous amounts of information every day that never arrives in a neatly structured format,” says Dirk Deroo. “That is precisely where traditional automation has reached its limits for years. With FlowmAIte, we finally make that data usable within automated workflows as well.”

Why artificial intelligence is a game changer
According to Dataline, artificial intelligence will play a crucial role in the operational activities of print service providers in the coming years. “AI is no longer a future concept,” says Dirk Deroo. “The added value does not lie in writing texts or coding faster, but in working more intelligently. The power of AI depends entirely on the quality of your data. The better your insight into orders, quotations, margins, planning and production, the stronger AI can support your business.”

Perfectly aligned with the evolution of FESPA
The double award win also strongly aligns with the central theme of this year’s FESPA Global Print Expo: ‘The place for experts’. According to FESPA Director Michael Ryan, print, sign and LFP companies today are looking for more than new machines. They are looking for insights into profitability, workflow optimisation, automation, integration and sustainability. The focus is shifting from individual hardware investments to complete production environments that operate flexibly and profitably.

This evolution perfectly reflects Dataline’s vision, with innovations such as EcoPrint Score and FlowmAIte. “Today, print, sign and LFP companies are looking for solutions that help them work more intelligently,” concludes Dirk Deroo. “Not only to produce faster, but also to make better decisions, work more sustainably and protect margins. That is exactly what these innovations are all about.”

EDP Awards as an international quality label
The EDP Awards are regarded as one of the most renowned distinctions within the graphic industry. The jury of the European Digital Press Association consists of independent experts from leading European trade media specialising in industrial print technology. The awards recognise solutions that excel in innovation, quality, user-friendliness and practical applicability within the production environment of print service providers.

With the double victory in 2026, Dataline once again confirms its position as an international innovator in specialised ERP software within the graphic industry. Dataline has now been recognised for the eighth consecutive year.
